A History Of Service

Attorney Joseph M. Romero began serving his country after high school when he enlisted in the New Mexico National Guard. After his time in the service, he went to college and then to law school. While his first job out of law school was in insurance defense, he quickly realized that defending large insurance companies was not what he wanted to do.

Joseph decided instead that he wanted to help people by protecting their rights after a personal injury or wrongful death. Now he uses the knowledge he gained by representing insurance companies to build strong cases for compensation for injury victims and their families. He serves the Albuquerque community by providing them with experienced advocacy after an accident, medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.

Providing Compassionate Representation For Injured People

Effectively representing people in injury cases takes care and skill. In these cases, a lawyer must be compassionate with clients while being tough on opponents. Many times, a personal injury client is facing a long, painful recovery or a permanent disability. Joseph never forgets that these people’s lives may never be the same, and that it is his job to win compensation that will cover their past, present and future losses.

While most cases settle out of court, Joseph uses his trial skills to create a case strategy that will stand up in the courtroom, if necessary. He does not accept an insurance company’s offer unless it fairly compensates his clients. You can rely on him to negotiate or litigate aggressively, countering their tactics with his inside knowledge of insurance defense.
